During John's birthday trip to London, we absolutely had to visit the British Museum (John is a sucker for all things Ancient Egyptian). While he was in the mummy rooms, I had a general tour around and did some sketching (of course).
I was sitting on the floor, drawing this last one, when a small group of primary school children and their teacher came up. There was the usual 'look, she's drawing...' from behind me, then one little boy announced 'I'm going to draw it too!' and sat down beside me. Before long, we were a little gang. I demonstrated my watercolour pencils and water brush, which always gets children very excited. Then I waved them goodbye: a lovely interlude.

Brilliant! I love it when kids are engaged, too.
I may (only a possibly maybe!) be back in England this summer. Sadly, unlikely to get much further North than London! But if Dame Fortune favours me I'll let you know.
Great work. Enjoyed the story with the drawings as well. The watercolor brush still gets me excited as well.
Amazing!Love the guardian lion!
