In Haste...

Today I've been out at Roundthorn Primary School in Oldham where I've had a nice time with KS1 & KS2.

I did some sketches I was really pleased with on the train back and forth, but they'll have to wait a couple of days, until I've time to scan them in, as I only got in at 6.00 this evening and I am off again tomorrow first thing.

In the meantime, I thought I'd keep you sweet with a little sketchbook drawing I did in front of the TV last night - not the sort of thing I normally like to draw, but it was actually switched off, which I thought deserved recording!

I fancied playing with watercolours, and was experimenting with a waterproof Micropen I found in the drawer, instead of the proper cartridge pen I bought a while ago (which, irritatingly, started drying up on me when used with waterproof ink).

I don't really like pens that give a set line width, but it was nice and easy to use...

Hi there Lynne!
I met you on Monday when you visited Roundthorn Primary School in Oldham and just wanted to say a BIG thank you for a very informative day. The children and staff loved your illustrations and were very interested to hear about your wonderful job! (Personally I was also very envious!)
I have been browsing your website and loved looking through your sketchbooks, very inspiring and amusing!
I will most certainly be dropping by again soon!
Thanks again
Pat Wood
