Vroom Vroom, Wheeeee - Off We Go!

I didn't get much done on Baby Goes Baaaa! on Thursday, as I teach at the university in the mornings, but I cracked on come Friday.

Next up the bunny / slug combo (the one that started life as a dog). Most of the central area of this spread will be taken up with big, bold text, so I figured this was a good one to do next, as it would be fairly quick, so I'd get a quick-fix feeling of achievement, and end the week on a positive note.

I toyed with a pink or baby-blue bunny, as brown or grey seemed a little drab, but decided on white again in the end, to set off strong colours for everything else:

I had a slight set-back after lunch, as I wrestled a little with the scooter wheels: originally I did them dark grey tyre colour, but changed my mind. Thank goodness you can rub out pastels!

I got the spread finished within the day. It's so much easier with no background. Here are close ups of the skateboarding slug:

...and of the bunny baby:

So far so good!

It's all off to a good start, and I can't wait to come along for the ride.
That cute little slug is going to be a star I feel sure. I just love him.

Your bunny is absolutely wonderful with all the energy of a child at play. He pops off the page with life. And the slug is a character a kid would want to take home and cuddle. Who knew this was possible?Your work is amazing! Thanks for sharing again. Love thos mittens on strings! And those heart pyjamas! Happy Valentines day!
