Sketchcrawl - We Have a Plan!

OK, for all those who are thinking of taking part in the Sketchcrawl on Sunday Sept 26th, Tim and I have finally got our act together and worked out a timetable for the day. All venues are very close together, so we will waste very little time walking between them.

To make things easier for non-Sheffielders, we'll meet up in the railway station and will finish the day just down the road from the station once more.

10.15 - 10.50: meet at Sheffield Railway Station cafe
10.50: walk up to the city centre
11.00: Peace Garden / water globes

12.00
: Sheffield Winter Garden (Surrey Street)

1.00
: lunch at Millennium Gallery cafe (Arundel Gate)

2.00
: inside the various Millennium Galleries
3.00: The Hubs (Brown St / Paternoster Row)

4.00
: Rutland Arms (Brown Street) for a bevvy / pass-round of sketchbooks

5.00
: finish and go home with the warm glow of satisfaction!

Being lovely England, we have a couple of bad weather alternatives:

11.00: Millennium Gallery upstairs foyer / walkway
3.00: Sheffield bus station

You don't have to come for the whole day: you are welcome to join / leave us at any point, but could you please let me know if you are planning to come along, so I can gauge numbers? If you do want to start with the group, be aware that we will be leaving the station at 10.50, to walk up to the first drawing venue, in the city centre.

Bring a sketchbook, suncream if it turns out to be really nice (yeh, right...) and, though we won't be walking far, a brolly, just in case it hammers down.

Hope you can come - the plan is for it to be a relaxed and fun day, and a great way to meet some new friends.

If you are interested in the Sketchcrawl phenomena, or would like to join up, get yourself over to the founder website of Sketchcrawling, where you can see what a popular format it has become and post the drawings you do on Sept 26th.

I'd love to come to something like this, but September isn't looking easy. Sheffield, on the other hand, looks lovely!

Lynne,

Could you please add a link to sketchcrawl.com in your blog to allow others to find out more about the site/event and other possible dates/locations?

I was also going to suggest for you post in the random Sketchcrawlings area but I see you have already done so.

Hopefully you can share some if not all of the results in that post after your event. We would love to see more of England.

Thank you so much,

Greetings from California
Gus

There is more about the sketchcrawl.com site, and a link, on the previous post on the subject, which is linked to in the first sentence of this one, but no worries - I will make the point again.
