How to Draw in Pastels

This is the final film in the Open College of the Arts series. It's an extra one that I didn't know they had produced until recently.

It's all about how I do my picture books in pastels: some of the great things about working in lovely, colourful, messy chalk and some of the practical drawbacks. Hope you like it!

If you missed any of the earlier ones, all five films are now available to view on my website.

I ran across your videos before I went on vacation recently. It inpsired me to take my sketchbook along and draw whenever possible. Thanks for the inspiration.

Very interesting again, thankyou so much for posting.
I found the bit about using pink paper particularly interesting, I may give working on a coloured background a try :)
