That's very helpful and will probs save me a lot of blood, sweat and tears!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4052428857190834923.post-2677502908401740872010-09-07T14:25:09.174+01:002010-09-07T14:25:09.174+01:00I know it's what a lot of author/illustrators ...I know it's what a lot of author/illustrators do when taking ideas to Bologna, especially if pitching to overseas clients. <br /><br />I don't think it is necessary when you are simply visiting a publisher on their own turf though. <br /><br />I would personally present a straight manuscript, along with a complete set of roughs (or storyboard / clear thumbnails), a coloured character-study or two, and a max of two sample spreads in full colour (you are bound to need to do them again, because of final text or format differences). <br /><br />If you are showing this alongside your folio of other work, it will be plenty.
